Since 2009, the Queensland Government has worked tirelessly in order to establish comprehensive pool and spa regulations for both new and existing pools in order to ensure the safety of persons .In doing so, there is now one (1) pool safety standard which has replaced eleven (11) different standards). From the 30 November 2015 it is compulsory to comply with the pool safety standard.
These regulations include:
Registering your pool and/or spa on the pool safety register (click here to check if your pool or spa is registered AND to register your pool and/or spa)
Ensuring your pool is fenced appropriately, well maintained and any damages are fixed immediately
Displaying the approved CPR sign
As a pool or spa owner, it is your responsibility to adhere to these regulations – including any amendments and update. To find out more click here or to read the pool safety compliance checklist click here.
To ensure your peace of mind, all Aztec Pools are issued with a final inspection notice of compliance.
Do you have Children? Remember, to always follow the ABC of pool safety:
• Always supervise your children near a pool. This means you must focus all of your attention on your children all of the time when they are in or around water
• Begin swimming lessons for your children
• Close the pool gate and keep your fence maintained
